THE ORGANISATION ACTIVITIES:

 

About the About the Health &Care program:

This has a program called HIV/AIDS Care, Support, and  Prevention  Project. This program is targeting people living with HIV/AIDS in communities and health centres / hospitals. Activities involved are:

 

Some of the HIV positive people-especially women registered with Childline Uganda poses for a photo with the volunteers from ASK-Project-Japan during a clinical day at the hospital centre

  • Planning for tasks for the volunteers and establishment of contacts with the HIV/AIDS patients in the community
  • Community mobilization and awareness rising on the need for a supportive environment for PLWHAs and HIV/AIDS, proper hygiene and nutritional education.

  • Supporting children with HIV to attain education.
  • Caring and supporting people living with HIV/AIDS with food supplements, clothing, counseling, supporting their children with scholastic materials.

  • Identifying, selecting, and training of community-based volunteers.
  • Support supervision to Community-Based Volunteers.
  • Referrals to health units of patients that need professional/biomedical services.

  • Community members and people living with HIV/AIDS are involved in regular meetings for continuing their participation, support and sustainability of Childline Uganda activities.
